Dan Turdo: Drums and Vocals
A drummer since his early teens, Dan Turdo has had rhythm and percussion in his blood from the beginning. He was the annoying kid at school who would be constantly drumming on his desk in the middle of a history lesson, math test, or study hall. You'd most likely find him wearing a Metallica or Iron Maiden shirt with a schoolbook covered in doodles, ranging from cartoons to band logos back then.
It was in 11th grade study hall that he met
Eric Pseja, and a friendship bloomed that had music as its magnet. A series of freeform jams ensued over the next few years, taking place in Dan's 11' x 13' bedroom with a guitar and an old 1965, 5-piece Rogers jazz kit. The music always took on new directions, frequently changing mood and tempo over the course of time. This period from 1988-1994 was the foundation of their musical bond.
In 1995, Dan and Eric founded the band Sick Nellie, which played the North Jersey bar circuit for about a year. Guitarists Marc Aldrich and Steve Kauffunger completed the lineup, with Dan handling lead vocals and drums.
Xeromore is the distillation of ideas and concepts that evolve effortlessly between Dan, Eric, and guitarist/vocalist/songwriter
Rich Adams... a longtime friend and the launching pad for this band. Dan Turdo’s influences include Stewart Copeland, Neil Peart, Scott Rockenfield, and Jerry Gaskill.
